The entire staff at Lions Gate is dedicated not simply to just meeting the needs of our residents, but to anticipating them. All team members receive training with an emphasis on creating a culture of hospitality for residents and embracing the Lions Gate mission to provide an exceptional experience in all aspects of senior living.

EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM

Chief Executive Officer
In 1997, Susan was hired as the Director of Human Resources at the Jewish Geriatric Home in Cherry Hill, NJ. While serving as the Director of Human Resources, Susan participated in an 18 month Administrator-in-Training program and in 2000, received her Nursing Home Administrator’s License. At this time, Susan became Assistant Administrator at JGH and then in 2002 became the Administrator.
When Lions Gate opened in January 2007, Susan served as Administrator, directly responsible for the nursing home and assisted living. In 2009, Susan became the Executive Director and took on the responsibility of overseeing dining services for the entire Lions Gate community. As of March 2013, Susan is currently the Executive Director of Operations, which includes overseeing the skilled nursing facility and a new 32-bed rehabilitation unit, as well as continuing to oversee the dining services.
Susan graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University and Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from University of Maryland.

Director of Development
Felice is the new Director of Development. Kelem comes to Lions Gate with an extensive background in developing successful fundraising initiatives and delivering quality, personalized events to volunteers and the public. Most recently she was Senior Development Director at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation where she directed all donor and corporate development, volunteer engagement, and fundraising activities for the chapter’s dinner dance campaigns that included the organizations gala which raised close to $1 million in 2014. She was awarded the Foundation’s Circle of Excellence for three years and served on the organization’s national task force to develop a new five-year strategic plan. She has also had successful leadership positions at the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Director of Human Resources/Corporate Compliance Officer
Sarah Plasha was hired in 2013 as the Director of Human Resources for Lions Gate. She serves as the HR business partner to the organization in order to plan, implement and evaluate HR initiatives that support the overall business strategy. Sarah has previous experience as a Senior Director of Operations and has HR experience in manufacturing, publishing, distribution and the pharmaceutical industry.
Sarah serves as a member of the HRCI committee for Tri-State HRMA and was awarded the “Unsung Hero” Award in 2012. Sarah was also nominated for the Delaware Valley HR Person of Year in 2013. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ursinus College and has a Senior Professional Human Resources certification.
